It's a community game

total.football was never a single-player game. It was a forum with a football game attached — people who knew each other by their club names. The new one is built the same way. Here is everything that happens between managers.
| Place | What happens there |
|---|---|
| The forum | Tactics & strategy, transfers talk, newbies, Israel, announcements. Your first thread is written for you the day you finish the draft — introduce yourself in it. |
| Chat and messages | Talk to the manager across the table before you bid against him. |
| The press | Questions arrive in your inbox with a deadline — Friday 18:00 — from named journalists with outlets and tempers. Silence is an answer too, and the papers print it. |
| Statements | You publish; the reach is your fans times how much your matches matter right now. After a derby loss or a star sale, an ambush: two or three answers, each with a small cost. |
| The jury | A transfer that lands far from fair value is flagged and goes to seven managers who vote. Nothing is punished by a machine; the jury advises, a person decides. |
| Your club, shared | One owner, any number of helpers — each with exactly the permissions you tick (lineups, training, market, the live match…) and a weekly spending cap. Away for a while? The assistant runs your match plans for up to four weeks; beyond that, hand the keys to a friend. |
| Bets | 1 / X / 2 in coins, fixed odds, locked at kickoff. On your own club you may only ever bet on a win. |
| TOTAL-15 | The weekly lotto: pick all fifteen results; the federation seeds the pool, the sharpest slate takes it. One ticket per manager. |
Coins are the social currency: the forum's badges, the bets, the lotto. They never buy a player. Legacy managers bring theirs back times three (tomorrow's dispatch is for you).
Clubs with friends. This is the part I am proudest of: a club can be run by a group. Sign up through a friend's invite link and, if his league still has a free slot at the highest available level, you land in his league. Then help each other — or don't.
Manners. The old forum had its own culture and it will be here on day one. There are no manager levels and nothing unlocks with progression — the leaderboards rank deeds: trophies, promotions, legends raised from your academy.
Tomorrow: legacy managers — what you get, and how to claim it.
